Mineral Springs Media Center

Mineral Springs Media Center sits between Mineral Springs Middle and Elementary schools. The media center is a combined library that houses the K-8 collection. There are two media coordinators and two part time assistants. The facility has a section on either side of the library to hold classes. The collection is kept on one server so books from anywhere in the library can be checked out by any student. The reference center is combined as well. This is a new facility with a unique concept original to the WSFC school district.

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader supplements language arts programs at Mineral Springs Middle. Students spend their points at an AR store twice a year. The first 10 to reach 100 points get a pizza party. Our next store will be in December where students can "cash in" their earned AR points for cool prizes. Smaller prizes for less than 20 points include posters, keychains, and jewelry. Some top prizes include portable audio players, boom boxes, and binoculars.

Book Fair

The next book fair will be for the week before and after Thanksgiving. This book fair will be a combined book fair between the elementary and middle schools in the media center. Lots of books will be available for holiday gifts. All profits go towards the media center for new books and materials!
