And the Race is ON!
Next Wednesday (September 6th) the Newspaper Club (Cry Wolf Chronicles & Hanes Web Reporters) opens for business!

Newspaper club will meet from 2:15 to 3:45 on Wednesdays. We'll see if there is enough interest for a second meeting on Fridays. Last week we had an introduction to the project and many people signed up on a legal pad in class. If you would like to contribute to the Newspaper and are a 7th grader, you are welcome to come to the club meeting in Mr. C's class, room 109.

If you are an 8th grader and are wistful about old times, come to visit the following Wednesday -- Sept. 13th.

by ?7th grader? @ 05 Sep 2006 06:17 pm

8th graders commented last year. gosh. how rude.

i love you Mr. C!!!!!!!!!

by MrC @ 05 Sep 2006 08:33 pm
OK, OK, behave people. You may be a 7th grader. You may be an 8th grader. But the rules for posting comments DO NOT CHANGE FROM YEAR TO YEAR. Be nice. Don't put people down.... and you won't be BANNED from posting future comments!

I repeat: Newspaper is open to 7th graders on Wednesday, Sept. 6th. 8th graders may visit the following week.

by Hanni @ 06 Sep 2006 07:07 pm

by MatthewF @ 06 Sep 2006 07:40 pm
Hehe. I transferred to ATMS, and I joined Video Club. It's really cool - you use this program called Alice ( to make 3D animations and games and stuff.

Mr. C, my username/password won't work for the Author thing on the student newspaper.

by @ 07 Sep 2006 10:27 pm
Wow...Mr. C you must have a rowdy bunch this year. I mean, c'mon, two full weeks and people are already spamming. Aw'll tame 'em.

by MrC @ 07 Sep 2006 11:38 pm

"Visit" means -- come by and see if you still want to work on the newspaper. Ownership has now shifted to the current 7th grade class. You can write articles and help, but 8th graders no longer "own" the newspaper. I know that there are still several 8th grade "readers" but I am less certain that 8th graders will want to write for the newspaper this year on a regular basis.

Aww, but I can't visit...I can still look at the website though!
